Hi ArisEdi,

thanks for the training that Monzie received so far. He's on a good way to make the team pretty soon if you continue the good training. And congratulations on the draft - that's phenomenal what you got with Simpson (ok potential but perfect starting skills) and Alistair Coull. Alistair is definitely the future of the scottish National Team ... and I guess you know what you need to do to train him in the best way possible. But if you've got any questions whatsoever, please feel free to ask me, I'm more than happy to help you ...

Have a great weekend!

Cheers, Wendell

Hi Wendell,

Thanks Wink

Could you please give me some specific directions on training Alistair Coull?
I am not really sure from where I should start.

Cheers,
Dimitris

Hi Dimitris,

thanks for contacting me! I'm happy to give you some ideas where to start with Alistair Coull. First thing: he needs to get 48 minutes tomorrow (as a starter, backup and reserve, coach strictly follow depth chart) on the PG or SG-Position. Then you should set training for 1on1 for Guards. If you don't have a trainer with advanced or higher lvl, you should try to get one tomorrow - but don't overspend. Advanced trainers should have a starting salary not much higher than 14k, ideal would be around 12k. Those usually don't cost more than 200k, sometimes even less, depending on the time of day ... that's just for tomorrow.

Now, on to some other basic advise and long-term planning for your team and training: you have to try to get your minutes management for good gameshape working. You've got Vangestel, Nacarrato, Quintana, Vines, Melis, Bungardaitis and Sela. You like to play them and that's good - but you overplay them, thus resulting in them not performing as well as they could. The ideal amount of minutes every player should play every week is between 50-70 minutes, 60 would be perfect.

So I would suggest, that starting on Saturday, you'll set up your lineup for the league games like this:

(Position: Starter, backup, reserve)

PG: Vangestel, Sela, Sela
SG: Naccarato, Melis, Melis
SF: Beng, Beng, Beng
PF: Quintana, Quintana, Quintana
C: Vines, Bungardaitis, Bungardaitis

then change the lineup for Tuesday like this:

PG: Vangestel, Sela, Sela
SG: Naccarato, Melis, Melis
SF: Coull, Coull, Coull
PF: Bungardaitis, Bungardaitis, Bungardaitis
C: Vines, Quintana, Quintana

and for the cup on thursday (or a scrimmage, that is definitely needed if you're out of the cup):

PG: Sela, Coull, Coull
SG: Melis, Beng, Beng
SF: Monzie, Monzie, Monzie
PF: Simpson, Simpson, Simpson
C: Kendrick, Kendrick, Kendrick (if you don't get him sold).

Your training should be switched to 1on1 for Forwards and you could copy this lineup for a couple of weeks. I promise you that your team will definitely improve like this, you'll earn a lot of money and you'll also be helping the scottish U21 team.

-->

Just a quick summary for tomorrow:

Lineup-Suggestion:

PG: Coull, Coull, Coull
SG: Simpson, Simpson, Simpson
SF: Monzie, Monzie, Monzie
PF: Melis, Beng, Beng
C: Kendrick, Kendrick, Kendrick

Training: 1on1 for Guards, lvl 4+ trainer.

Next week: new lineups, change training-regimen on saturday to 1on1 for Forwards.

I hope I could be of some help. Don't hesitate to ask me, I try to reply as fast as I can! And thanks again for replying to my message and asking my help for Coull - he's definitely on of the greatest stars of the future scottish National team (not only the u21) - and no time should be wasted to start training him properly! Smile

Cheers, Wendell

Hi Wendell,

Please find below their current stats.
Please let me know if you think I should change my current training schedule
(current: 1on1 for Forwards)

Coull
Jump Shot: average Jump Range: inept
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: respectable
Driving: respectable Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: awful Inside Def.: pitiful
Rebounding: atrocious Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: inept Free Throw: mediocre

Hi Dimitris,

thanks for the update! Both trainees look good, but I'd suggest you keep training 1on1 for Forwards at least until the end of the season. Both still need some ups in driving and Handling (and the occasional up in Jump Shot and Inside Shot) ...

Have a great week,

Wendell

Hi Dimitris,

Coull and Simpson are looking great! I'd suggest to switch to 1 position outside-defense training. That would mean that you could train Stuart and Alistair and an additional trainee every week at the PG position (48 minutes). You could also alternate from time to time - something like: 3-4 weeks OD and then 2-3 weeks passing and then back to OD ... that would help the u21 a lot - and also definitely help your player become very valuable - for your team and if you would sell them in the future, probably also for the transfer market ....

Cheers and keep the good training up (and thanks for the good training so far!)!

Wendelll
